I feel like I'm doing something really stupid, but I can't seem to get my 3312CI to read flac files off my thumb drive. The thumb drive is 16 GB, in FAT32 format. MP3s will play flawlessly off of the thumb drive. FLAC files on the same thumb drive are recognized by the 3312 but when I try to select them/play them, a "File format error" appears.
I have been googling and troubleshooting... What's the obvious thing I'm missing here?
I did a full format and it was just a day ago. Does it matter I used windows or OSX to format in fat32? Regular MP3 files play without issue. It is only flac files that cause issues.
I'm an idiot. I have both Windows and OSX computers in the house--when OSX access files, sometimes it makes "._artist-song-etc-etc.flac" hidden files (something for the OSX filesystem) and I was trying to play those files instead of the real flac files--you have to scroll down the screen to see the real files.
Well, I hope this may help someone else in the future...
