You are awesome. Thank you!

IBJamon

Edit: Well, the manual for the SC-75 is different than the 77/79 (which share); hopefully the rest is the same. I'll burn this CD later and see what's on it. Thank you anyway! You were the first to respond to this question of mine, and I really appreciate it!

agreed

I just scored an open box SC77( with all the accessories ) for about $800
...that was after someone snagged the SC75 for $500 though
I would not have paid an extra $300 for the 77 had the 75 still been available

The good news is that all the Magnolia's had 75's...so your odds of getting one are better
Only the larger stores had the 77...so scarcity is a bigger issue

Quick question....

I've got an SC-75 that I'm going to be pairing with Emotiva amps. Currently I've got a 7.2 setup but looking to expand. Can I use all 11.2 pre-outs at once? I know the sc can only amp 9 channels at a time, but I don't see any mention of expanding to 11.2 with an external amp. If I use MACC there is no option for an 11.2 system so I'm assuming it won't send signal to all the pre-outs to do an EQ.

I will go with a pre/pro probably next spring. Until then I'm hoping the SC will do the job.

Thoughts?

Help me, AVS Forum. You're my only Hope.....

Pretty sure that the maximum speakers playable at once, regardless of amps, is 9.1.

I'm curious if you find the emotivas to sound significantly different/better than the onboard ones. They are really good in my opinion.

I built an actual speaker level switchbox between two amps (one driven by the pre-outs) and level matched with an SPL meter. They were shockingly close despite being class A/B vs. D.

That's what I was afraid of... I'll just stick with what I have then until I get a new pre/pro.

I'll keep you updated. I'm making a gradual transition to separates with much more powerful fronts in addition to having 7.2.4. Next fall I'll add a new pre/pro and new speakers. I move mid 2016 to a new home where I will "complete" things by adding an XPR-5. For now, an XPA-7 with the SC will work. Knowing that the amp in the SC is pretty good, I'm not expecting to see a huge difference yet.

TREBLE AND BASS CONTROL

Ok, I cannot figure this out

I have tried different audio sources, TV, BR, ITunes, DTS CD and when I go to OPTIONS>TONE CONTROL>TREBLE or BASE I cannot hear a perceivable difference in either of them from the entire range of -6.0dB ~ +6.0dB

Have a 5:0 setup

The sound quality is fine for DTS CD but I would like to tweak some other sources

Not sure what I'm missing?

TV Samsung UN65HU8550FXZA TS02, X-10 lighting, IR543 Powerhouse Command Ce
AVR Yamaha TSR-6750WA
BR Player Sony S6200
STB Dish 211K

REMOTE CONTROL Harmony Ultimate remote

Posted this on the SC-8x thread on Jan 25, no responses so trying here......

Question regarding the iControlAV5 Android app:

Using the "Emphasis" function to boost bass and/or dialogue, what is the db range available? I am not finding any information in the documentation and the app does not give any values, only a speaker icon that grows or shrinks in size. I am curious how much boost I am actually applying.

Kind regards,
dbrown

On the treble and bass control, make sure you don't have 'tone' set to 'bypass'.

I don't think the app tells you how much bass emphasis it is adding. I would compare the results of this with the results of the tone 'bass' settings, and see how similar they sound.

I need help guys. A storm made lights in the house go off and afterwards all my Home Theatre components came back with no issues, except for my SC-75 which will not power on no matter what I do. Already tried unplugging and plugging several times and pressing the Enter and Standby buttons for reset, but can not reset since power does not come On.

Anyhow, read online that older models that had this exact same problem were able to come back by pressing the Enter button and a Surround Mode button or Video 2 button simultaneously. Well the SC-75 does have the Enter but not the other buttons so I can not try this option.

Has anybody encounter this problem? Please help!
