I'm just getting a little tired of hearing maybe next week we will get your unit built and out to you...I'm just anxious and impatient....I have the terrible habit of changing other components while I'm waiting in this limbo mode of rebuild

So how do we get in line to get this DSD?

I would imagine just call them. They would probably issue an rma and give instructions.

Just fill out there service request form online. However I would wait until late Feb./March so as to allow all the upgrades to be competed first based on the backlog.

That's probably good advice, considering they have had my unit for 3 months now. Patrick told me this week that they have parts in and have both started new builds and would start my upgrade likely today. Still, who knows what the backlog is.

Good jsetliff. I sure hope you get your processor back soon. They ought to hook you up with a partial refund of the upgrade or something. This has been a long long time to be without.

I can't even imagine how you feel without the Foundation for that long. I am using borrowed amps and since I sold my Chorus I have listened to music twice and watched a whole 0 movies. It is awful but at least I have a friend who is a audio dealer . So I guess I am lucky.

Sorry, it is a little over two months, not three months. Send it in on 11/07. For some reason I was thinking I sent it in during October, but it was November. So it just feels like three months.

I have an "original" Foundation operating with software v1.25 from 16 Oct. It sounds like the 4K UHD version is on v1.32 from Christmas Eve. You have always been my "go to" guys for S/W update info. Future S/W announcements probably need to include the unit they are applicable to. Just a suggestion.

Agree! I tried to update my original also and for awhile couldn't get my iPad to connect until I I ran the update a few more times!

I am actually hoping that those of us with the older Foundation are not stuck with this last oct update. I hate how it reloads the webpages then shuts off every time I check for an update.

Now that the Foundation 4k is out I am thinking they might not develop any more firmware for the regular Foundation.

But this is just a minor annoyance. And it won't apply to me after the upgrade. But some body else might get real irritated.

...or they might not.

Most of you probably got the email this week that there is new software version for their integrated amp product. I remember someone saying that they only email everyone when there is a major software update. However, I don't ever remember seeing an email about software being updated for the non-4K Foundation. With the exception of the hardware updates....DSD and 4K which we did get notifications for.

Maybe Krell is satisfied that all known anomalies with the original Foundation have been fixed. Mine has been playing nice with DirecTV for a long time now. Can't remember the last time it dropped the audio, and that was really the only anomaly that I had.

Good deal. Mine works flawlessly on everything I play through it. And the sound is just so awesome.
