Hi, I'm pretty new to the 'good' speaker game so here it goes. I'm trying to set up my surround sound, I'm following the user guide that came with the amp and when i run the auto setup it wont detect one of my rear speakers. and my front right speaker. Instead when it plays a test for the left and right speaker both come out of the same speaker. I also tried setting it up manually and that wont work either. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have two polk rti a7 front speakers with the polk 12" sub and just two cheapy missil speakers i got for $20 (they both work perfect) Any help would be great !

My vsx-522 won't stay on or hard reset, it shuts off within 5 seconds leaves a small symbol on looks like 4 boxes to on top two on bottom, I can get it to stay on by spinning the left knob (input source knob) when I stop it shuts off with in 5 sec. Last time it work I left it on while I was un hooking speakers holding band and on does nothing please help

Yes. get a good quality receiver.

I won't recommend anything but NAD and Cambridge anymore (or maybe Harmon-Kardon) because all the rest have cheaped out so bad IMO on their designs and quality.

They all concentrate on who can have the longest list of bells and whistles and cheap out on the BEEF. Where's the BEEF? It ain't there!
