Whats the advantage of LAN on a pioneer amp?

I ask as I am considering buying a SH pioneer amp for my other room. It does not come with LAN. However, reading the different manuals, it seems the LAN only allows for Internet Radio and Songs from my PC. Is this really the case. Are there any pioneer amps now, or due that allow for streaming ov video content?

Cheers.....Q

No, the amp itself won't stream video. It can't. But, if you have a streaming device plugged into it (a smart blu-ray player, Roku box, Apple TV, PS3, XBox 360, or Chromecast) it should be able to pass that video without molesting it.
