Hello,

I bought and setup a new 5.1 system using Definitive Technology 800 speakers and a Yamaha RXV-675 Receiver. I've never really had a decent speaker setup for TV, so I wanted to know if it's normal for me to only hear voices on the center channel speaker, and none of the other speakers?

Thanks.

Yes, that is normal. The center channel will do most of the dialogue reproduction.

Enjoy your new setup.

Hi, in a 5.1 system it is the center channel that carries dialog, so there sould be nothing wrong with your setup. Enjoy it, please! As regards hearing voices, ...well that's a completely different issue! No remedy here! Just kidding! smile.giftongue.gifcool.gif
