This is a plasma display from January 2007. It's a monitor only, no tuner.

I've been using the monitor with component video during those years. To upgrade my system to all HDMI, I added the TY-FB8HM HDMI Terminal Board for the display.

With the AV7005 I get only a black screen.

If I connect my TiVo directly to the HDMI input of the screen, I get video (720P).

I can't seem to find any settings on the 7005 that will give anything other than a black screen.

From the http interface of the receiver, it recognizes the monitor's HDMI port, and reports a typical array of available resolutions, including 720p and 1080i (but not 1080p).

I also have a new projector that I've added to the system, but I haven't yet tried HDMI to it (everything still being wired up).

Mojo

I wonder if the Marantz is trying to send 1080p when the interface doesn't support it. That doesn't really make sense, since the display is correctly reporting the resolutions it supports. It's still something to wonder. frown.gif
