I am looking to upgrade my system from Mitsubishi CRT RPTV and Emotiva DCM-1 pre/pro all connected w/Component video (no HDMI).

Current thinking / wants:

65" Plasma in media room with light control (although I like to have a light on for multi-tasking in my chair)
8' from screen although I can adjust
* Samsung 8500 or Panny VT?

Great music sound (2ch digital w/JRiver on PC & analog w/vinyl, trying to move to MC DSD w/JRiver)
* Was thinking of Emotiva XMC-1 but that is $2k in February (do I wait)? * current $500 Emo pre/pro as temporary
* Used Anthem?
* Receiver w/my Emotiva MPS-1 MC amp?
* other?

Do I focus on the pre/pro for DAC?
External DAC?
Opp 105 as player & DAC?
I am using a mAudio Revo card SPDI/F to Emo pre/pro today

I have 2 MFW-15 upgraded subs w/Seaton Sound external amps
Onix Ref 3 & Center w/Ninja upgrades + Ref 2 sides, Ref 1 rears

I currently have a Denon Bluray player (not 3D but HDMI and component)

16' wide x 20' deep room over garage

I believe I will go with the Oppo 105 DAC analogy out to my old Emotiva DCM-1 pre/pro in 8-ch pure direct input mode to use Oppo DAC.

HDMI from Oppo to Samsung 65" plasma since Emotiva DCM-1 is component only.

JRiver PC USB to Oppo DAC for music.

This should reduce the urge for a new pre/pro and I can review in the new year when the new Emotiva Reference series comes out for Room Correction and easier switching.
