I have a question regarding 3D capability with receivers. I plan on buying a Benq 1080ST which is capable of producing 3D movies. From what I understand, a person needs a few things in order to get 3D: A blu ray player capable playing 3D movies and a 3D movie or streaming 3D content. My question is that I saw on Accessories4less that they describe the Denon 1913 as this:

"The AVR-1913 features 3D pass-through technology. By connecting a 3D Blu-ray disc player and a 3D TV to the receiver, you can have a 3D home theater system with high-definition sound and video."

Does this mean that the Denon 1913 supports 3D while being connected to a Blu Ray player, but my Denon 1613. I plan on using a PS3 with my Denon 1613, so will I be able to get 3D out of this? Please help with my confusion. Thanks!

Both the 1613 and 1913 can pass a 3D signal. Same quote on AC4less.com for the 1613.

I own a 1613 but don't have a 3D capable display so can't try it out for you.

Just saw that before you posted. For some reason I bypassed that. Thanks afrogt.

And quick question: is $269 a fair price for refurbished Denon 1713? I figure it won't go too much further down in price. Thoughts?

$269 shipped is probably about right. You might want to check your local Best Buy for Open Box and Clearance Items because you might find a clearance model even cheaper than that.

Some people have gotten the 2113 for less than $269 at Best Buy.

you have to look at your local BB. They have the 1613 on clearance and its the same year as the 1713.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12090&type=page

click on the link and put in your zip code. Then click on one of your local stores. After that click on Open Box and Clearance Items. Each store will have different inventory.

For instance my local BB has the 2113 for $319. It might be different at your store.

Also the Marantz 5007 for $399 which is an excellent price.

Another store has the 1613 for $199

Yeah I've tried that and unfortunately there is nothing in my area with those kind of prices. I figure the 1713 at 269 including shipping isn't too bad of a deal from accessories4less.
