x4000 and PS3 no 3d? - AVS Forum

has anybody watched a 3d movie with a fat PS3 on a Denon x4000? if i bypass the Denon and hook up the HDMI from the PS3 to the TV i can watch in 3D. but after hours of changing cables, turning on and off deep color no 3d through the Denon.

Regardless, leave the Deep Color Output on the PS3 set to OFF. Try setting the resolution to 1080p vice AUTO on the AVR. Also note there is a dedicated thread just for the Denon E/X series linked below ...

when the PS3 is connected to the X4000 the PS3 will only let me set the display to 480. if i set it to 720 or 1080p after 30 seconds it will say that they are not supported?

Try resetting both the PS3 and the AVR.

i reset the x4000 and the PS3. still i cant set the PS3 to any resolution higher than 720. and it will not show 3d. any one else having problems with the fat PS3 and the x4000?
