Hi All,
I'm looking to use the sub pre-out on the Denon to connect to the Velodyne sub. Is this possible? The Velodyne is from 1996 so perhaps it doesn't have the necessary input jacks?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Nick

The pic is too small to see the connections, however, if there is a single coax digital LFE input you would connect the sub pre-out on the 2309 there, otherwise, you would connect the FL/FR speaker posts to the FL/FR "input" speaker posts on the sub and then connect your FL/FR speakers to the "output" speaker posts on the sub, noting that in this configuration you would not be able to use Audyssey to EQ the sub so sub will be set to NONE.

Thanks. I was afraid that was the case.
I have had it set up with that configuration, using the crossover on the sub, but want to minimize speaker wire going back and forth from the sub.

Here is another, hopefully better, picture of the back of the sub.

So no option for a line in (?)

Yes, much better .. and as there are line inputs on the sub ... you can forgo the speaker wire connections and connect the sub coax digital cable from the 2309 sub pre-out to either of the line IN connections (top set of red/white inputs).

Making this connection may disable the sub crossover; however, you can disable it by setting the OUT/IN switch (above the line inputs at the top) to "OUT".
