Recently my 2808ci started experiencing sound issues on some TV channels. It does not want to play the voice track. For example, with today's football game I can hear all the stadium sounds but not the announcers. On a different channel we can hear sound effects and the laugh tracks but not the dialogue. I have confirmed on other TVs that the channels are broadcasting normally. It does not effect all channels. I have done the reset per pg 50 twice. Thoughts?

what happens if you switch to other "processing" options? I have notice similar issues on some sports channel on satellite on my 4308. My guess is I may have to switch a few things off like audyssey stuff and such.... or may be rerun things. Perhaps the specific channels aren't mixing their sound quite "right" and the unit is having some issue with dealing with particular sound placement.

Are you sure the center channel didn't get turned off? That's where the main voices will come from. Check speaker wires too.

What sound mode are you using when you watch TV?

Try swapping the center speaker with either FL or FR speaker to check whether it's a center channel or center speaker issue.

Make sure that the receiver hasn't been switched to the B speakers instead of A...this happened to me one time with similar results...

Thanks for turning me onto the center speaker. That was the issue.
