Hi
The Sherbourn PA 5-200 weight 58 lbs net, according to the manual
A local dealer insists that it weighs almost twice as much confused.gif.
That can't be true, even with packaging... or can it?
It's huge
I haven't seen it in real life
Thanks
Jakob

This guy weighed his and it came out to 72.5 lbs which is about the same as it's sister amp the emotiva xpa-5 which comes in at 70.4 lbs according to emo web site.

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!

I would say the numbers that Jason posted would be correct. If the PA 5-200 manual lists the weight at 58lbs it is definitely incorrect.

Why would you care?

When Sherborne/Emotiva move into this millennium and start building power amps with switchmode power supplies it will be well under 20 pounds and just might work better, at least on the test bench.

Arny,

No offense man but this is the second snarky post I've read of yours in less than a minute. If Jake is interested in the true weight of the PA 5-200 then what's the problem? Chill out man wink.gif.

Maybe he needs to know if his rack - shelf - cabinet can handle the weight? So many are listed at 50pounds limit so would be important to know.
