How can I simpliest connect my TV (it has optical output + HDMI) to listen powerful music/films on 9.1 speakers ?
I wanna also listen to FM radio (does receivers with "normal" radio still exist ?
Also connect some android/iOS phone or tablets wirelessly to this 9.1 spekers ?
Maybe on this equipment to play also some internet, youtube (oh, I can make this by TV), or some other apps.
And the sound not to be too bad. And of course I dont wanna spend 5000 € for these

In 1990s we used Tehnics, Yamaha, Marantz apmlifiers with cinch and SCART conectors - what sort of equipment is used nowadays ? Should I use "solution in a box" or some separate components (like we did in past: receiver, radio, kasette, gramophon, cd) ?

I indeed dont need 9.1 - it is just largest number I saw in specifications:)) As I understand situation best for me is to build my Theather centre component on component, like we used to do in 1990s smile.gif not buying "in a box" ?

If I understand corectly first I need to get AV receiver with HDMI(ARC) and Optical-IN (at least 5 of them all togehter, or do you suggest even more ?), AV receiver which also has internet capabilities and posilibilty of wifi connection from android/iOS devices.
And for not getting in one-way street to early, I suppose it is best to choose such AV receiver which has all sort of (5.1, 7.1, 9.1, dolbyXY) support, so I will not need to exhange it for another 30 years.
(and connect my old speakers, CD, gramophon on it - later swicthing it with more nowadays component: 3D bluray, etc. ?)

If anybody can give me some URLs of such AV receivers under 900€, I will be very glad. Thanks.

Which speakers would you suggest to me for under 100€ / peace, and to be very good, and very stylish. Should I go wireless?
One of best I saw around are these from Samsung 2.1 in a box system HT-FS5200:

but I am just afraid theirs sound is bad frown.gif didnt hear them yet!
My wife would be very pleased with them, as she would think they are

You can get many receivers that will do everything you want except having a bunch of optical ins. Most have 1 or 2 nowadays because its not really in demand anymore. Problem may be the price. 7.2 would be easy with your budget but when you step up to 9.2 it will cost you dearly.

This is a good place to ask about the Yamaha receivers.

You can control and setup the receiver with an Android/ios device. Not sure if you can stream directly from tablet/smartphone to the AVR. They do have built in Pandora, Rhapsody, Sirius XM, Netradio. "Server" is an input if thats any help.
Optical is outdated but can come in handy from time to time. Somepeople use it from tv to AVR for sound from the built in apps on these new SmartTVs.
All of the newer Yamaha internet receivers can be connected to your tablet/smartphone.

I think this is the cheapest receiver you can get that is internet capable.
