About to replace my aging Onkyo 605 with an RX-A2030, should I be super worried about HDMI 2.0 coming out and making my AVR obsolete?

Not unless you plan on buying a new HDMI 2.0 BDP and TV/PJ and are using at least an 80+" display/screen and want to display 4K at 60fps.

** Think the AVR is defective?  Reset the microprocessor 5 times.

Well then just as HDMI 1.3 owners did using a dual HDMI 1.4 BDP who wanted to pass 3D video without upgrading to an HDMI 1.4 AVR, so to can you just get a dual HDMI 2.0 BDP and pass the 4K video to the TV and the HD audio to the HDMI 1.4 AVR. smile.gif
