New owner of my SC-1522 receiver that was purchased on ebay and first time poster here on AVS. I am hooking up my unit for the first time and I cannot get the rear channels to produce sound correctly. I have them set up for a 5.2 zone2 +zone3 speaker configuration. I have checked all my connections and they are all properly connected both on the speaker and the receiver side(I've even hooked up the rear left speaker to the center speaker to verify speakers and wiring is not damaged and it sounds fine). I can kinda hear the rear right left surround speakers making an attempt to produce sound but its followed by a slight scratching noise. You have to put your ear up to the speaker to hear the noise. During the 'demo' and MCACC set up the speakers are producing the proper sounds and speakers reproduce the same sounds as the front right and left and the center speaker.
Is there a setting that I am missing or is the unit damaged? If damaged how can I repair it?
