I am switching out my Denon 1616 and looking for a new receiver my budget is $400-500 at max. Afeter extensive reading I am looking for something with at least 100W per ch I have a 5.1 setup.

What I would like
1) at least 100w per ch
2) network capabilities
3) 3d pass through
4) 4k if possible (just in case I upgrade to a 4k tv)

My room is 16x14 with vaulted ceilings.
my current equipment
monitor 55t L&R
Monitor 40's rear
Monitor CC
BIC F12 sub

what I do about 85% is movies and tv 15% is music so I am more geared toward a better avr for movies and blu ray's Please help I have been looking for over a month and still can't decide lol

It's all fun and games until my wife notices something new in the entertainment center

Can you wait until Black Friday?

FWIW, I'd rather see you put the money into another sub. ;)

I'm in the same boat as well. Looking for a receiver under $500..

I was told to look at the denon 1912. , also the Sony dn840 looked pretty nice as well with a CNET editors choice and a ton of features including airplay, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

Get a Yamaha if you can. Sound quality and reliability is second to none. Ditched my Onkyo 1010 for Yamaha 3020.

There are number of possible options. smile.gif

--------
2015 Denon AVR thread ----> http://www.avsforum.com/forum/90-rec...dcp-2-2-a.html

Think your AVR is defective? Check the Owner's manual and do a factory reset 4-5 times if necessary.

It took all day, but I talked myself out of this, which, apparently, was cleared out at newegg for $330 not long ago:

I am, however, going to be glued to the Great Found Deals thread for the foreseeable future.

Whose stupid idea was this, anyway? ;)

The one linked above can, as can the V773. See the respective owner threads elsewhere on AVS.

Oh, but I do need it.

No, not really.

Well, yes, really.

No.

Yes.

....

If I'm lucky, by tomorrow it will be out of stock. :D

And the one I will end up buying will be MORE expensive.
