Hi everyone, I am looking for Yamaha Receiver Manager for RX-V2500. I've been looking high and low, but all the links seem to be dead now. I have finally found a way to connect to my receiver's RS232 port, but I can't find the software. I know I can send/receive to the COMx port directly, and I managed to have a few commands work, but I need RM to get the full functionality.

If anyone still has this stored somewhere, please help!

Thank you in advance.

Have you considered calling home theater installation places and asking them? I did probably the same Google searches you did and all of those dead links were to pro and dealer websites.

I tried a few places, but most have no idea what I am talking about. I remember even back when this was a current receiver quite a few people had difficulties to get it from dealers (who had to go to Yamaha themselves);  nowadays, no one is interested in a receiver that is several years old. Especially considering that Receiver Managers are unfortunately model-specific, and this one is RS232-based (I believe all modern ones are TCP/IP).

I just hope that someone has this RM stashed somewhere (as I do for my more recent RX-V3900)...

How about an email to Yamaha tech support?
