i am redoing my movie room and have NO idea on what to do for a receiver
I have 7.1 M&K 150 thx speakers just ordered Oppo 103 player
I dont want to spend more that $2500
Any advise would be appreciated

Consider the current Denon flagship 4520CI which is 9.2 and designed to power 4-ohm+ speakers at reference level volume.

i have been looking at that 4520ci very hard
my dad has M&k's also and the 3313ci and it seems very under powered
you have to listen to the receiver on like 70-75 to be at a good listening level, is that bad

Not at all for those that enjoy near reference level volume (ie. 80). As long as the AVR doesn't overheat and is well ventilated, he should be good to go. smile.gif

Also, if you haven't received the Oppo 103, you may want to reconsider and spend the extra $100 on the 103D which includes the DarbeeVision technology which can be had from the stand alone Darbee Darblett for $320 (MSRP).
