I am looking to replace my older Onkyo TX-SR604 receiver because it doesn't have 3d passthrough and I'd like to go back to actual surround sound again vs "All Channel" mode
The speakers I have currently are:
Center: SVSound SCS-01
Front L/R and Rear L/R: SVSound SBS-01
Sub: SVSound PB12-NSD/2 (The one with 2 12's in one box and 3 large ports on back.. the dua version PB12-NSD on their site now shows 2 single sub boxes so I'm guessing it has changed since I got mine about 4-5 years ago)
I'm looking to stay right around the $500 mark but am quite intrigued by the Audyssey XT that the Denon AVR-X1000 has... in that price range, is there anything that would provide better sound out of the speakers/sub I have? All I need is a 5.1 system and don't care anything about wifi, netflix, pandora, etc. My tv has app for that all crap. 2nd zone is not necessary either.
Ultimately I'm after what will provide the best sound. 3d passthrough and 2 hdmi inputs and one hdmi output is basically my only requirements as far as that goes.
I'm just wondering if a new receiver to replace my old one will give me a little more punch or liveliness because mids/highs are a bit dull sounding at the moment and from what I gather from reviews SVS speakers are usually pretty good... just want to try to get the most out of them I can. Looking forward to suggestions... Thanks in advance!!
