Good evening,
i have just purchased an anthem mrx 300 receiver and i have had it for only ONE DAY and i have had a big headache with it. First off, WHY cant i get sound on certain movies when playing netflix through the playstation 3? If i choose the 2.0 soundtrack on a particular movie then i get sound but if i choose the 5.1 track, i get ZERO SOUND??
Another big one is that i can NOT get the dts 7.1 master audio or even a normal dts soundtrack from ANY blueray that is played through my PS3. I GET THIS CRAAAAAAAAAAAZY LOUD crackly distorted sound from all my speakers!!!
i have tried changing settings on the ps3 and nothing. I also made sure i am using a class 2 hdmi cable and i am. Here is the cable i am using:

please help...

I know for a fact, that most Netflix movies are ONLY broadcast in stereo. Unfortunately, I can't help with your other issue.

What are your audio output settings on the PS3?

Why are you shouting? What about the settings for connectors?

http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/demystifying-the-audio-settings-on-your-playstation-3/ but may not help, might be a defect in your avr? Try another hdmi cable?
