Hi,

I have a Yamaha RX-A1020 and a Velodyne SPL-1200R. The Velodyne is already setup with its own callibartion and now when switching reveiver to the Yamaha RX-A1020 I have also runned the auto callibration for this but without the subwoofer.

Is this the correct way of doing it or how should it be done?

The Velodyne is connected to the pre out subwoofer 1 on the Yamaha.

Maby the subwoofer most be included in the Yamaha auto calibration to get the correct ouput level to the sub?

Edit : I have set the crossover on the receiver to max to let the sub handle everything, is this correct?

I'd run the subwoofer calibration and then the AVR calibration, including the now-calibrated subwoofer.

I would try the Yamaha calibration (YPAO), with the sub in the mix, to see if you like it better. If not, then just recalibrate your sub with the Velodyne microphone after running YPAO. I have the exact same subwoofer, and I let the Audyssey in my Marantz processor calibrate my subwoofer last. But first I run the Velodyne EQ using the microphone supplied by Velodyne.
