Hi guys,

I did a quick search on here for similar issues, but found none relating to my model of Denon AVR-1913 receiver, so I thought I'd ask...

I have all of my components hooked into the receiver via HDMI including PS3, XBOX 360, Boxee, and Satellite Receiver.  For the most part, I don't have too many issues with the receiver, the firmware can be a little flaky in some scenarios, like the network streaming mode, but overall I'm pleased.

My issue is primarily with mode switching on the unit from say PCM 2 channel to DTS or Dolby Digital.  Seems the receiver doesn't really auto-detect the changes reliably from the source.  Case in point, sometimes when I turn on the TV, then the Denon, then the Xbox 360, it will recognize it as "Dolby Digital".  Other times, it will default to "Dolby PII Game" and not process any audio, the audio goes through the TV speakers.  I usually have to turn the receiver off and back on again and it will then recognize "Dolby Digital" and I'm good.

Other times, I'll be using the Boxee to watch a DTS source, stop watching, and start a Dolby Digital source.  It won't recognize the change, and again, I have to turn off the Denon, and turn it back on.

I think it's a problem with the HDMI setup.  Any suggestions?  I don't mind turning off the unit and turning it back on again, but I'm thinking it's probably not the greatest thing to do for the internal components of the receiver.

Any help would be appreciated.
