Hello everyone
I am a new Italian owner of a Anthem mrx 510 from a few days and I have some problems with the bass menagement of ARC
The first test was made using latest Release of firmware 1.2.6. (MRX510_EU_MP_20141107)
and the review of the ARC 01.01.2882
Switching to the 5.1 channels configuration to the 2.1 channels for listening music, the sub goes completely out of control distort the final result.
Only the setting Anthem music in the 2.1 channel configuration can bring to normal the sub and solve the problem.
Any other approach creates crazy bass menagement.
What difference exists between music anthem and none in the settings?

someone had the same problem? how it has solved?
I apologize for my bad English

Of course also staying in the 5.1 channel configuration, with music in 2.1 channel I have the same problem of bass menagement.
that can be solved only by activating the anthem music (of course in 5.1 it's not activated by default and it's not necessary)

Did this all start after upgrading firmware? If so, how does it sound with mode set to "none" and are you getting weird symbols on the AVR display?

I suggest a factory reset and if that doesn't help, try to upload the firmware again with a new downloaded file (it might be corrupted)

If this is a new unit and your dealer is close by, I would suggest calling them and/or stopping by there with it.

Hi, I just got mrx710. I have question hopefully someone would be able to answer.
My current setup is with kef r500, bi amp.

I am trying to listen to 2 channel music through iPhone. I connect through stereo jack to rca cable. When I do this, it seemed I don't have any control over volume and bi-amp doesn't work anymore (I'm only hearing voices from bass, nothing from tweeter).

Also, I always noticed that using hdmi, bass is always lacking even when set to full range. I initially thought my old receiver is lacking power but it seemed Anthem is not fixing the issue. The receiver us connected to pc (nvidia HD audio) and ps4 both similar issue.

Thx!

soul thinking

Ok so I have been waiting to post. I hear the 5.1 argument about the 310 but I really want separates. I only run 5.0 now but one can never know what will come up next. So I am think of buying a old Anthem Statement D1 for 800 bucks and get a seven channel amp outlaw 7125 and BiAmp the fronts Or new MRX310. No HDMI that's not the end of the world and ARC2 software & mic is $140

You can't just buy ARC software and run it on a D1 or D2. edit: oops, sorry I was thinking of the AVM.

Suggest you find a D2 or AVM-50 w/ARC DSP board (it was a significant hardware option, no longer available). That would be the minimum I would recommend buying these days. They should come with a mic. There are some people selling cheap units without the mic that may not be forthcoming about this. An original owner would not "lose" the mic unless the dog ate it.

Avfile Thank You, I call and someone told me at Anthem I could. But I didn't think it was true. Thought that it would need a hardware upgrade. Maybe I didn't ask the right question...

If I remember correctly the D1 / D2 did not need a hardware upgrade. I have a D1 upgraded to D2 and I'm pretty sure I only ordered the ARC kit (software and Mic) that was in the $400 range. AVM's required a hardware upgrade that I don't think is any longer available.

D1 and D2 are ARC-1 ready as long as they have latest software. AVM 40 and AVM 50 non-v are ARC-1 ready if "/ARC" appears on front panel display during power-on, indicating hardware upgrade inside. Any ARC mic will work even if it is from MRX. Early mics are not compatible with some Windows 7/8 PCs (sorry, I don't have a list). New mic can be purchased from tech support. Mic calibration file is on matching cd and available here:

Ordering options:

- ARC-1 kit. It has serial cable and ARC-1 on the cd.
- ARC-1M kit. It has cat5 cable and ARC-2 on the cd, for MRX x10.
- mic+cd only (no tripod/cables). If ARC-1 software is needed instead of ARC-2, download it from our site.
- Keyspan USA19-HS USB to serial adapter. Best choice if using ARC-1 and your computer doesn't have a 9-pin serial port. Adapter driver is on adapter cd but it's usually best to get latest from manufacturer's site.

Sorry I was wrong about the D1/D2 must have been thinking about the AVMs. I would still recommend waiting for a used D2 or AVM-50/ARC. A trustworthy owner should still have the mic for it.

I bought a D2 before Christmas and it only had FW 1.21 on it, so I used the mic from my MRX 300 after I upgraded it to 1.33. Previous owner had no interest in upgrading, so not all of them will have ARC kits included.

Ok, I'm having trouble with zone two audio and the manual is frustrating me. I'm sure others have run across this, so frogive me if I am asking a repeat question.

I want to have a HDMI connection for my MacBook to stream Tidal to my zone 2 audio only. How can I set this up and if it is not possible, what is my alternative. Zone 2 is a single pair of speakers mounted by my pool deck.

HDMI source can't be used for zone 2. Only optical/coax or analog RCA

I'm having an issue on my MRX310 (1.2.6) where 24bit/192khz PCM will not play through the Main output, but works fine on Zone 2. Anybody have experience with this issue?

Also, is there a way to make the Zone 2 section downmix multichannel AC3 and DTS signals to 2.0? I have the Z2 output going into my desk audio setup and I have to turn on downmixing on my player every time I want to watch a movie on my computer.
