I have been pretty much set on the Denon avr X1000, but it does not have built in WIFI. I hate using hardwire to connect to internet, and I would have to run a long wire for this one. I'm looking for something in the price range of
$400-500. What would be the top of the line receiver? or would I have to get over it and just get the x1000?

You have several other options besides hard wiring to include using another Wifi router in bridge mode wired to the AVR as well as using Powerline adapters.

Bridge (connected to AVR provides wireless connection to the home's wifi router)
Cisco WRT-54G
TRENDnet TEW-640MB
Airport Extreme
Airport Express
Linksys WET610N
Netgear WN2000RPT - 4 port
Netgear WN2500RP
D-Link DAP-1522
satchm0h and Hopinater like this.
