Hi all. I'd like to know if this is possible. I have an Integra DHC 40.2 pre-pro and just bought a new Sony BDP-S790 Blu-Ray player and a HDMI cable. The T.V. monitor is an old Magnavox 60" projection 480i and the highest quality signal it accepts is S-Video. I'd like to know if the pre/pro can downconvert the video signal from the HDMI down to the 480i my T.V. understands? I'd like to use the HDMI to get the high def audio only and output the video in the low def 480i. The Sony has 2 HDMI outs which can separate the audio and video from each HDMI but won't allow video. Any help would be appreciated.
