It is Y-shaped, it has red and white RCA plugs and the end has a stereo 3.5 jack.

I use it to connect regular computer speakers' "headphone" jack to its end
and the red/white plugs to the tv's "audio out" (for improved sound).

I checked at various electronics stores, even big-box ones, to no success.

I realized that the famed Monoprice will have it but I'm gonna need its "official" name before
ordering it.

What is it called, plxthx?

Should be one of the first two. The 3.5mm end will be a female end for a headphone jack.

When referring to a 3.5mm connector, be sure to specify if stereo or mono...

Just my $0.05....👍😉

fwiw, in my experience if you go to a retails shop (radio shack, walmart, frys etc) and ask one of the mouth breathers there for "an ipod to stereo" adapter cord, 9 times out of 10 they will get you this cable. sometimes they just look at you weird though.smile.gif

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!
