So after finally getting my new TV on a stand and watching TV that night fine, the next day when I tried to use my Pioneer receiver it wouldn't accept an hdmi signal.

I'm really trying to save my money at the moment and didn't anticipate this breaking. I thought maybe I'd try and get by using fiber optic out from my devices to the receiver. I saw that I can get the Denon for $299.99 and I'm wondering if this would be a good deal to just jump on. Will I be missing anything coming from my Pioneer? Would it be worth it or should I just save my money?

Have you fully troubleshooted your receiver? Have you reset it? Where is the HDMI signal coming from?

The HDMI out to the TV works because I can see the Pioneer Gui on the TV. None of the hdmi inputs work though. I've tested everyone. Nothing happens.

If you're going to replace your Pioneer, and you don't need all 7 channels, then I highly suggest trying to get the Denon AVR-1713 before they're gone. It has Audyssey MultEQ XT which will also calibrate the subwoofer. Once you use it, you won't want any other. wink.gif
