Hi,

I'm new in here and already getting crazy of al this information...:-) Therefore I would like to ask a question: I'm looking to buy my first receiver which has to match my B&W 685 speakers. After a while I would like to upgrade me setup with b&w 683 or maybe the same 685 as rear speakers. I do need 2 Hdmi outputs (Tv & Projector) and I like the spotify option.

Do you guys think the Denon X3000 is worth the money for these speakers? Any other suggestions? I want to get the maximum potential out of my speaker.

Any feedback is welcome! Thanks in advance!

It is worth it if you want and will use the features it has. If not, just go up or down the line to find one with the right features.

Ok Thanks! I just have to be sure the AVR-X3000 is strong enough for the B&W 683 speakers? For the moment i'm hesitating between the Marantz sr6008 and the Denon AVR-X3000. I can get the Denon for halve the price of the marantz. Which one should I buy?

Even if there were a difference of 30W between the two models, it wouldn't likely make a difference unless you had the unit volume maxed out which the vast majority would never do. As already suggested, select the model that best meets your feature and budget requirements.

Just last question. Should I go with the Marantz sr6008 / Denon AVR-X3000 or Denon AVR-X4000?
The Denon X4000 retails same price here as the Marantz sr6008

If they both have the features you want and will use, then I would suggest you save money and get the lower priced one. The additional funds can go into your retirement account.

Just to let you know, last week i've bought the marantz sr5008 + b&w asw610 subwoofer. I'm very happy with the purchase. This setup in combination with the b&w 685 speakers works very well! Next will be another pair of 685's as rear speaker so I can enjoy surround.

Thanks for the help!
