It doesn't have to be 5.1, a solid 2.1 will do. I'm planning on adding a sub in the future so I will need a sub out. It'll be mainly used for gaming and some music listening with my Pioneer BS21's.
I'm leaning towards the VSX-523 that Best Buy currently has for $179 but I'm open to suggestions.confused.gif

Any suggestions? rolleyes.gif

I use the older VSX522 and it performs very nicely in my bedroom system. It is amazing to me that the companies can produce something like that for such a low price.

I currently have the VSX-1120 as my main AVR and I love it. I'll definitely look into the VSX-522.

Same thing, I think. 522 is last year's model and 523 is this year's. I doubt any differences amount to much if anything. If 523 is the one with the better price, then get that one.

I'd like to find something similar for my bedroom too but would be great if it had a wifi remote so that I could turn it on or off even if I am not in the room.

The VSX-823 comes with an ethernet port. You can always get the app or access it via the browser web control page using the receiver's IP.

I have another question this time about speakers.
I have a pair of Pioneer BS21 RL that I'll be using in this set up, and I would like to add the matching center (SP-C21) but I can't find it anywhere. Can I just use the newer SP-C22 or would they be any problems?
I remember the rule of thumb is that all speaker must match because of the timbre, so I just wanna make sure the AVR will be ok.
