I bought a DN1040 and really liked what the D.C.A.C of the Sony did for my speakers and overall soundstage. I'm getting a different receiver for other reasons beside the sound quality. Was hoping someone could tell me which level of Audyssey the D.C.A.C lines up with so I can plan accordingly for my next receiver.

As DCAC at that level is only a single position system, MultEQ on the lower level Denon models is likely as good or better than DCAC.

Interesting...I just thought it blended my speakers and subs together well but coming from a 2EQ Onkyo, anything was bound to impress me lol

Why are you switching out from the Sony 1040?

Just has a few features that I was hoping would be there. No overlay GUI, no viewing of HDMI sources while listening to another audio source and just doesn't seem as customizable as most receivers in that price range.

Does the D.C.A.C. EQ the sub?
