I am looking on as I can use Discover Card cashback bonus money.

I am mostly looking at Denon receivers after a ton of reading on these forums.

Features that I like are the analog to HDMI conversion so that for older video games I do not need extra wires running to the TV and wouldn't mind it being future proof for 4k but niether are definite requirements.

First, I am looking at the Denon AVR-E300 because it is cheap at $367 right now. It has everything I need but it doesn't do the upscaling or 4k passthrough.

Second, Denon AVR-E400 - $499 - Little spendy but has everything.

Third, Denon AVR-X1000 - $449 - Doesn't do the upscaling like the E400 but does have MultEQ XT.

Finally, Denon AVR-2113CI - $479 - Has everything I think.

Anyways, just looking for some suggestions.  I would love to spend under $400 so if anyone has other suggestions on a decent receiver I am all ears.
