Its the 4520CI. Usually news comes out in Late March to early April time frame if it happens. With some key technology lagging, such as HDMI 2.0 certification, native 4k video processing, what would be the advantage of coming out with a new line of Denon AVR's at this point of time is the real question.

Yup ... not likely to hear any news on the 2014 models until April and likely later in the summer on the replacement for the 4520CI.

Any idea if XT32 will trickle down to the x3000 and below? That is my main reason for waiting for the 2014 Denons.

Highly unlikely ... certainly not below the X3000 replacements, rather more likely when the next upgrade to XT32 is released.

There's a review of the 4520CI in the latest issue of Sound&Vision magazine.

That depends on what features you're looking for as these are very easy speakers to drive, however, the X2000 uses Audyssey MultEQ XT which can EQ the subwoofer in your future 5.1 setup whereas the YPAO that the 1020 uses cannot.

I wanna use reciever mainly for music, HT and games. 5.1 will be fine, but maybe in future i will upgrade to 7.1. Can Denon play audio from one source and show video from another source?

Yes, the X2000 can play audio from a Network source, Internet Radio, or Tuner while watching HDMI video.

I'm looking to upgrade my Denon AVR DHT-484XP, using my current speakers, and I was hoping to see 2014 model info by now. So much for that I guess. As it is, the street price on the AVR 300 and AVR 400 both look good. Naturally, if I but one of those then the 2014 model specs will show that I was premature with my decision to buy now. I'd like to move up to Audessey calibration to enhance my system My speakers are all 6 ohm with the exception of my Subwoofer, which is 4 ohm. Any comments?

Doesn't matter what the sub is as it should have its own amp. smile.gif

Both feature the same version of Audyssey. You can get an idea of features offered but reviewing post #2 of the Owner's thread.

Go look in the Audyssey thread. Even the guys that run that thread have admitted that xt and below room correction don't eq the room properly. You need xt32 if you want good room correction software. I measured the midlevel yamaha myself. It does eq the subwoofer, but not very much. XT32 is way better. Get an external sub filter and the subwoofer output will be flat. Especially with Yamaha. And their internal manual peq covers the main channels. The audyssey and audyssey flat eq curves are almost identical. The ypao flat and natural have a bigger difference eq between them. The 1020 is a few steps up here overall.
