I recently purchased my first ever AV system, and went straight in for the Onkyo 626 with the Q Acoustics 7000 5.1 series speakers.
So far loving it.
However I have noticed that on the Cbl/Sat the sound is very quiet compared with the other inputs. I put this down to the SKY HD+ box that is connected, but is there any way I can get the sound working on the same levels as my other inputs
I have turned on the Dolby D setting over the HDMI but does appear to have made much difference.
any suggestions from anyone,
Hi ollyparkhouse, see Intellivolume setting found under Source Setup menu.
Hi thanks for the reply.
I have noticed that for some reason that when using the sky box the rear 2 speakers the audio quality is very poor. I have played around try to get the best audio output. changed from Game to Movie etc, and sometimes it works ok, but by default, I can barely hear much from the rears.
Could this be because some programs are televised using2.0 rather than 5.1 and thus the Onkyo tries to force it?
If I used the fibre optical output from the sky box, would that be a better setup,
