Does the Yamaha RX-V773 have an optical output?

I'm thinking of buying a pair of Astro A50 headphones and it requires an optical connection.

My desired setup is, I want to be able to hear whatever sound the AV unit is outputting - whether it's source is the connected TV, PS4 or Xbox One.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

No it does not. See their specs summary at http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/av-receivers-amps/rx/rx-v773_black_u/?mode=model

Digital Audio Input/Output: Coaxial 2 / 0
In other words, two inputs of both types, but no outputs.

Also, don't forget that HDMI inputs are seldom transcoded by receivers to either optical or analog outputs. A few receivers, like the upper range models of Denon and Marantz, can output stereo analog to Zone 2 (or 3) from an HDMI input, but only if the input signal is stereo PCM, not surround-sound. In other words, you'd need to get an external HDMI-to-optical converter similar to this one: https://www.octavainc.com/HDMI%201x1%20Audio%20Converter.html

Ok, thanks for you're help guys. I figured as much, just wanted it confirmed. The Octava unit looks like just what I'm after, but a bit out of my price range.

I think I might look into getting an optical switch that I can plug the Xbox and PS4 into, I think they may be cheaper. I've seen this one on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lindy-TosLink-Digital-Optical-Switch/dp/B00517UMNW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2UE1VUFRY6SUM&coliid=I3PDHF3URSNNAW
