Hi everyone. I found some nice deals here in Canada.

Denon x2000 - CAD$498.88

Denon x3000 - CAD$698.88

Yamaha RX-V675 - CAD$449.99

It is difficult to chose the one I should take. Between Denon x2000 and Yamaha RX-V675, which one will be better for HT? Thanks a lot

My question first would be where did you find the x3000 for 700$? Otherwise, the x2000 has a less advanced version of audyssey I think than the 3000. I'm a denon guy myself but the prices of the Yamaha's make me curious.

Ensure where ever you buy it is an authorized Canadian dealer for either Denon or Yamaha otherwise the mfr will not honor the warranty (3 years X2000/X3000; 2 years - V675). EIther Denon can EQ the subwoofer while the V675 cannot. Also the X2000 and X3000 both have the same version of Audyssey MultEQ XT rather the X3000 has a few more features. Please review post #2 in the Denon Owner's thread linked below to see the differences.

Thanks a lot for the details. The x4000 is almost double than x2000 and far over my budget so I may go with x3000. I think they should be authorized Canadian dealer but just not quite sure. I purchased some good deals from them within the past 6 years. BTW, I checked with different local dealers, all of them have 2 yrs warranty not 3 yrs. Wondering why Denon has different policy to Canada and US.... For 675, 2001AV used to have the best deal of CAD$399 last month.

I just bought the Denon AVR-X3000 from Futureshop by pricing matching Gibbys. It was $692 before taxes in Canadian dollars.

I am finally putting my AVR-3300 to rest, it's been a great receiver, but time to move onto HDMI audio vs. the optical I was using the last 14 years.

I like it a lot so far, but I wish they put a better remote with it, it does everything I need except turn on my TV, that's the only remote I need still.

^^
Under the HDMI Setup menu of the X3000, set HDMI Control to ON and set the HDMI-CEC feature to ON on the TV as well and this should allow the Denon remote to power on the TV as well.

Review posts #3-6 in the 2013 Denon E/X Owner's thread for more helpful information.
