At this point I'm looking for second hand on ebay to get a great AVR at a good price.

Any AVRs come to mind? There are so many out there, with little reviews on how well they go with the RX8s.

Looking for any names if possible. For more info on my setup you can read my original thread here:

Thanks!

NAD.

The NAD T748 is $599 new. I recommend that.

The only AVRs that will do a good job of driving the RX8 IMO are those from NAD, Arcam, and Cambridge Audio.

I would avoid all others. The low impedance of the RX8 will caude excessive distortion in most others.

Anyone have any suggestions with bluetooth connectivity? I'm finding that feature really handy!

The Monitor Audio RX8 has a fairly high sensitivity and isn't that low of an impedance load. Most AVRs should be able to power it with no problem.

http://www.soundandvision.com/content/monitor-audio-silver-rx8-speaker-system-ht-labs-measures

"Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.37 ohms at 152 Hz and a phase angle of –40.55 degrees at 84 Hz."

Sensitivity was 90.5dB, which is moderately high (meaning less voltage draw from amp).

For every new thing I learn, I forget two things I used to know.
