Yes. And confirmed.

JonFo 07-01-2014 09:30 AM

Lust, big time lust.

Scott Simonian 07-01-2014 09:36 AM

Cool but probably costs more money than I make in a year. :(

MIkeDuke 07-01-2014 10:48 AM

I think I read where it will cost 29,999 pounds. If that's right, that will equal A LOT in US dollars.

lexiconthx 07-01-2014 10:56 AM

You should be able to drive this thing for 29,900 pounds...

Bill Mac 07-01-2014 04:44 PM

I'll wait till Sherwood puts out an AVR with Trinnov Altitude32 then wait for it to go on fire sale :D.

^Bill,

Didn't Emotiva buy out Sherwood? Maybe big Dan next excuse to delay the XMC-1 is to include some features Trinnov? This will buy Emo a few years of time as the drama continues...

$51,448.73 that would be ridiculous but it is a French firm so who knows Oh la la!!

That was Sherbourn.

bootman_head_fi 07-01-2014 08:38 PM

Shouldn't this be in the 20k plus thread?
Along with everything else I'm never going to buy? ;)

Add to cart?

Franin 07-02-2014 06:23 PM

rooms not big enough wouldn't be able to utilise the whole 32 channels.

sdurani 07-02-2014 06:32 PM

Starting configuration is 8 channels.

Scott Simonian 07-02-2014 06:40 PM

Yeah you don't have to us all 32 outputs. 16 speakers would be more realistic.

I'm thinking three up front with six surrounds and six heights would do in even the most enthusiastic of AVS'er.

You don't need 32 speakers to utilize 32 channels. Active bi-amping, tri-amping eats channels very quickly (and Trinnov is known to do it well also). Only the tri-amped front stage (LCR) already utilizes 9 channels. Add to this 4 bi-amped surround speakers, 3 front heights and pair of subwoofers (let's say DBA for the best possible bass experience) and you are already left with only 7 spare channels for 3 overhead speakers. :)

There is no need for anything more than mono.

51,000$ for a pc? Are they serious?

If they expect to sell no more than 10 units in total - yes, they are for sure. :)

why do you have such cheap Mogami snakes on your list? it's just 149.95. get a Chord or similar for 10x-20x the price to go with this great system. would also harmonize more with the Kimber Selects and give you more dynamics and tight clarity.

Just daisy chain a few of them together then.

I really don't understand it. For once, an "high-end" processor offers, at least in theory, more than ordinary AVRs. 32 speakers mean the possibility of very precise sound placement, with a very large sweet spot.

Why should anyone use it as a glorified crossover?

Most will opt for active crossovers, so if someone has 3 way speakers up front and 2 ways all around, you'd use through 26 channels with a standard 11.1 system.
