Question Need advice for a new AV receiver

Any suggestions for a good 6 or more hdmi ports av receivers w/ 3D and 4K support which cost around $600?

All I can google is the Onkyo TX-NR636 and the Pioneer VSX-1124-K. Main purpose is just for movies from my PC and some casual gaming on my PS4. Currently I have a Pioneer VSX-521-K with a PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox360 connected to it. I just wanted to upgrade it for future purposes, might add an xbox one or any other device in the future.

If you want a AV receiver that'll last a few hours, I wouldn't buy a Onkyo.

Krell Evolution 900e x 7

Bose Jewel speakers.

Jealous of my speakers?

The Denon X2000 is a 7CH, 4k/30fps,7 HDMI model which is currently available on clearance for about 2/3 of your budget.

I would look at the Tascam PA-R200 > a good receiver from a good seller
New in the box at a serious good price - I own it and do like/enjoy it.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/TASCAM-PAR20...item3ce472d273

http://tascam.com/product/pa-r200/

Now if you do not like the price - a lot of sellers are selling it at a higher price
Some prices are above $1000.

I can't tell from the pictures, does this have ARC? Do these receivers come with any warranty if you buy it elsewhere and how this compares to more expensive receivers like the Denon X2000 or Denon X1000?

I admit this matter of 4k readiness has me a bit confused or rather, questioning if it really is possible for under 1000 dollars. The reason I say this is that when AVRs talk about 4k ready (within that price) do they mean 4k pass through or ability to do some conversion type of activities. 4k/30 vs 4k/60 also comes to mind.

From what I am hoping, I should be able when the time comes to upgrade the media player for 4k and choose one that has two outputs so that a regular AVR would do the audio only and the player would go to the screen. This is much akin to what some folks are doing with Oppo players presently. This seems to put the media player before the AVR on the list of upgrades.

If anyone can shed some light here on what really should be considered for future playability of 4k I would appreciate it. Naturally, I have opted to leave out the TV/projector as a known quantity that will have to be addressed along with the above.

Umm what is the point of 4K and atmos if you have no interest in a 4K TV or 16 channel audio? HT is getting a bit stupid now..

Can see why people stick to 2 channel, even for movies.

Yes it has ARC - you can buy the Square-trade warranty for $29

I replaced my Denon with the Tascam

However, your choice and call

5.1, 3.1 and 2.1 is fine for me

The artificial sound waves continue to grow and grow.

I'm currently researching for a new receiver as well.

These are the two I'm trying to decide between. They both meet your requirements.

Pioneer Elite VSX-44
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ceivers/VSX-44

It's more friendly with the wallet @ $499, still working on the local magnolia manager to get it lower (not working, YET!).

Pioneer Elite VSX-80
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ceivers/VSX-80

$699 - but it offers some nice extra features like Sub EQ, ect.

Good Luck!!
