Harman Kardon 3490 vs. Maranatz SR7000 for music

I currently have a 2.1 music system paired with Marantz sr7000 that I got off of craigslist for $60 (:-) it was a no brainer).

I had initially wanted HK 3490 but the price was high and Marantz sr7000 caught my attention knowing the brand is also known for warm musical receivers. So far I have been very happy with it. However, I recently came across someone who is looking to sell his HK 3490 for $175 (I think I can get him to come down further to something like $150).

My question to folks here is whether to ditch my Marantz (top build quality, heavy and the last series to be made in Japan) and go for the HK that I also wanted or just stick with my current setup. Would I notice sound improvement with HK which is a dedicated stereo receiver compared to Marantz which is an AVR (and not using any of its DD/DTS decoders).

Thanks in advance for your comments and help.
