Fisher 500b or McIntosh 1900?

I have the chance to grab either (or both) the two receiver/tuners mentioned in the title. I haven't seen them yet and will be bidding on them through a friend that's going to an auction for me. Providing that they both work which one would y'all go for?
P.S. I've never heard the sound from a tube amp and heard it's quite unique (me being a solid state user since .....well forever) but I've also wanted to grab a piece of McIntosh equipment because of the pretty blue light (yeah i'm simple like that ) and people rave about those amps anyway.
Thanks for your input!
