Suggestions for upgrading from Onkyo TX-SR705

I am having problems with my tx-sr705 and Onkyo is going to let me do a trade in. Here are more options and what I would have to pay to upgrade. I'm wanted to get your suggestions on what would be a good unit to go with. I do not have a 3d or 4K tv.

Any thoughts? I'm leaning toward the 626 or the 727.

tx8050-125
txnr525-205
txnr626-270.
TXNR727-350.00
txnr828-450.00
txsr313-95.00

Thanks!

I appear to be in nearly the same scenario as you. I am looking to upgrade from the Onkyo 805. No trade in, just upgrade.

Based off of my research thus far, and the price points given, I'd go to the 636 and not look back.

Thanks! Why would you say to upgrade to the 636 vs the 727?

Better future proofing and the price point is nice in comparison.

I also just bought a 727, (literally yesterday) but it was DOA. No power, just clicking, shame realy.

That probably has something to do with it, although I am still considering Onkyo, even another 727.

The 636 isn't one of the options I'm looking at...it's the 626.

I must have read it wrong, I saw the 636. Maybe that is because that is what I am looking at lol.

In that case, 727. Sorry for the confusion.

Off to ship the 727 back to Amazon. Sigh.

Thanks, but there doesn't seem to be a big difference with the 626 and the 727. Also why do you suggest the 727 if you are having problems with yours?

I purchased it used/like new condition from a 3rd party seller. I don't blame Onkyo fully for that.
