Denon AVR-591 - HFMI signals dropping out randomly

Hi Everyone,

I have a Denon AV-591 Receiver

I have been having a problem for quite a while now where the HDMI signal drops out every so often (say 5-10 during a movie). As you can imagine it can be very annoying.. It drops out sound and screen goes blank.. it then detects the signal again a few seconds later and its back to normal.

I have my receiver connected to my computer however also a PS4 connected both using different HDMI cables and inputs on the back of the receiver. The same problem occurs on both signals (from computer and on PS4).

I have tried resetting the amp by holding the two < & > buttons, however this does not work either.

I am guessing that there is obviously a problem with the board or inputs on the amp, but thought I would just double check on here to see if there was anything else worth checking.

Thank you in advance

Other than ensuring there is a secure connection at each end of the cables, you may want to upgrade to something more current.
