Costco two to choose from

Which one would you choose?

Yamaha RX-V775BT or

Sony STR-DN840?

Just generally speaking if these are the only to you had a choice from and why?

Yamaha - easy choice if $ isn't an issue. At that price range you also could consider buying a Denon X2000 from an e retailer or Best Buy if you must go local. Denon is discounted right now as the new model is being rolled out.

Go with the Sony-no-baloney...

http://www.soundandvision.com/conten...40-av-receiver

I have the 2014 model, the 1050. It's outstanding. At $400 for the 1040, it's a no-brainer. Absolute steal.

Well thanks. Completely undecided now. Both of you indicated it was an easy choice but both picked different rigs! Yikes... Guess you might make me do some homework for myself......

I would go with the Sony. They have really stepped their game up with this model line. And from reading the reviews it shows.

Here is the Sound&Vision review of the Yamaha RX-V775. http://www.soundandvision.com/conten...wa-av-receiver

The Sony STR-DN1040 scored higher in ever categories. http://www.soundandvision.com/conten...40-av-receiver

Go with the Sony. Great interface, awesome tech support, and easy to use.

Newegg has the onkyo 626 for 299 with $25 off using visa checkout = 275 free shipping no tax. About 50 off of the costco sony option and just as good, if not better.
