Pioneer VSX-1020-k -- flashing PQLS

I recently started getting the flashing PQLS issue.

The receiver would turn off and the PQLS light is flashing. I've disconnected the speakers to try to find a culprit but it still shuts off.
The receiver is on a shelf with nothing blocking the vents and it's cool to the touch.

I've tried resetting it (Standby and Enter).. I've also tried changing the digital protection (or whatever it's called).

Any ideas? Is there a fuse or component that can be replaced? I have moderate soldering skills so that's an option.

thanks

Hi fox1541, don't know if this will help but try at your own risk. Press and hold the "Multi-Zone On/Off" and the "Tune Down" (or Preset Down) buttons for about 4-5 seconds and see if it power on.

What is this supposed to do? Does this perform some other type of reset?
