Advice Please - Denon x3000 or x4000?

Hi,

I am just about to pull the trigger on a new Denon receiver and I can't decide whether to pay the extra $700 and go for the x4000 or save the money and get the x3000.

Here's my setup

Fronts 3 x Definitive Technology UIW RLSII behind acoustically transparent screen. http://www.definitivetech.com/products/uiw-rls-ii

Sourounds 2 x Definitive Technology UIW RSSII http://www.definitivetech.com/products/uiw-rss-ii

Subs 2 x SVS PB-2000

As far as i can see the main difference between the two receivers is slightly more wattage and the MultEQ XT Vs MultEQ XT32 although I could be wrong.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If there is a $700 difference in your country and you don't need any of the other features on the X4000, then the X3000 should serve you well.

Hi,

Yes its at least $700 difference here. I am just wondering if the x4000 would have significantly better audio quality or if its not going to be noticeable?

Thanks

It would be noticeable as the vast majority of former XT owners have noted going to X32; however, if you've never experienced Audyssey before, even XT on the X3000 will be an improvement.
