Upgrade Marantz SR-19?

I've had the Marantz for a long time and it's been great. I have the Paradigm Reference speakers (v.2); 100 fronts, studio center, 20 rears. I just bought a Vizio M602i-B3 TV. With everything HDMI now (thank god) I'm considering upgrading my receiver. The Yamaha RX-V677 seems like a great receiver for the price. It's not as powerful as the Marantz, but I really don't want to drop another 2 grand on a new receiver. Please help. Is the Yamaha powerful enough? Are there other receivers (there are always others) you would recommend? My budget is $1,000 max. Thanks in advance.

^^
Also consider the Marantz SR5009 which offers a 3 year warranty and Audyssey MultEQ XT.
