I need help picking out a Receiver.

I have mono price in the wall speakers. My center channel is rated for 100 w and my front left and right are rated for 170 and my rears are rated for 120w. I am in need of a need receiver.

Here are two i am looking at. The Yamaha has 4k and 3d pass through. I dont have a 3d or 4k at the moment but a new tv is next. My main concern is the power of the unit going to blow out my speakers? i dont want to replace my speakers too. I am happy with the sound. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Chad

You won't blow your speakers, you can use a 20W or a 200W amp.

In fact, you can use a Emotiva XPA-1, of course if you ramp up the volume way past the power handling of the speakers you'll fry them, but you have to be deaf to not hear when reaching the speakers limits

Krell Evolution 900e x 7

Bose Jewel speakers.

Jealous of my speakers?

Check out this model.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882115429

It is the same as the Yamaha RX-V773. It's a couple of model years older but probably not missing anything significant. It's also one step higher in the lineup and has niceties like preamp outputs. And even though refurbished it comes with a 1 year warranty from Yamaha.

And if you purchase with Visa and use coupon code VCO they will take off another $20.

Just note their return policy is not the same as Amazon.

With this receiver being blue tooth i am considering wiring a whole house radio system. Could I get by with just using the blue tooth app on my phone to control the audio in zone B? this way I could avoid using the volume knobs.
