A few comments:
You need to decide what functionality you want.
The AV8801 pre/pro is available now, including HDMI plus Audyssey room EQ for up to 11.2 speakers.
The XMC-1 can be ordered but isn't deliverable immediately to new orders. Shipment is unpredictable. They're only just starting to slowly fulfill preorders from long ago. Dirac room EQ isn't ready yet.
The McIntosh MHT-200 is a rather old 6.1 channel receiver with no HDMI or room EQ. These days you really need HDMI to watch Blu-rays and other high resolution video sources.
There are current-generation quality devices that are within your price range.
The Marantz SR7009 receiver can be ordered now for delivery in September and lists for $2K. With Atmos & Audyssey, it can drive 9.2 speakers (11.2 simultaneously with external stereo amp; 13.2 but only 11.2 simultaneously selectable.) ETA: it can be used as a pre/pro if you want.
The Marantz AV7702 13.2 channel (11.2 selectable) pre/pro is expected to be announced soon for delivery in October. Somehow I've gotten the impression that it'll be listing for $2K, but I could be wrong.
Marantz SR7009 avr + MM9000 amp --> Atmos 7.1.4
Fronts=NHT 2.9+AC2, FH+TM=DefTech PM1000, LCR+TM amped
