Marantz SR5200 Won't Go To Standby

Hey guys,

I've had this receiver for a while now. Still has a few niggles and the one that's bugging me most is that since I've owned it, it won't turn off from the remote. The physical button will kill it completely, but just pressing standby on the remote does nothing. The volume and input change and everything else works ok, but it does feel a little slow and clunky. The volume wont continue changing if you hold down the button, requiring continual pressings to change drastically. It HAS worked on a few occasions and but it was an accident and I'm not really sure if I did anything differently to make it happen.

Is this something you've come across before?

Muchos thanks!

Try unplugging the power cord for 10 minutes and see if that doesn't resolve the issue. Otherwise, there may be a procedure in the owner's manual to reset the microprocessor.
